music: Witch day, Alvin and the chipmunks
I made a visit to the HK Uni of Science and Technology this afternoon, and I am now seated in the library of the university, laptop on my laps, lucozade in my hands.
What greeted me when I arrived at the university was this great sea view and the amount of activities happening there. There was a line of sailing boats. I'm guessing maybe it's the sailing club's weekly meet-up. There were lots of powerboats, yachts (I still needed to check the dictionary for this. Never could spell this right.), and people dipping in the sea right across the island. This is what the university looks like from the opposite island:

Well the funny thing that happened here was, I needed to scan some stuff quite urgently. But only hkust students are allowed to use to use the equipments here. So I approached the staff and pretended to be an exchange student here, and the staff gladly helped me out. haha! my little escapade of the day.
I've been feeling a little disoriented after returning from China. Slept 12 whole hours and lazed through the whole weekend before I was geared up for more action in the city. My cousin and I visited the "Around the world" exhibition at the central library. It was funny looking at all the miniature cardboard models of famous places in the world. (I've reached the monthly limit for flickr, so using blogger to upload photos temporarily)

This is me, shooting a movie, somewhere in the future. (nah...kidding)

To all genre narrative students, I visited MOUNT RUSHMORE. What does this mountain remind you of?

HK central libary:

Words of wisdom carved onto the steps.

And then we went grocery shopping, or should I say, junk-shopping. Haa!

Backtrack to two weeks ago, it was my grandpa's 80th birthday and my grandparent's 60th wedding anniversary banquet. All the close relatives, distant relatives, super distant relatives and friends were invited. It was SUCH an extraordinary gathering.
The full family...in god-knows-how-many-freaking-years. It is a great photo.

The five children. In order. heh

Granddaughters united.

The banquet tradition, where the host family goes around all the tables to cheers.

Back in the office, things are going great. I had a dreamweaver crash course by the IT personnel there. And this is the temporary website I created in 4 hours. My first website right here. Nothing fantastic, but still proud of it. It's gonna be down in a few weeks. =(
ok, my stomach just growled.. I have to be here till 7pm, that's when my colleague knocks off. I'm heading off to the cafeteria for some french toast.
Even with life pretty rocking here in hk, I'm missing family and friends in Spore. Sch starting 4th Aug in NTU? I'm missing SCI for the first time! and church! and my very own bed.....
Here's to more adventures! =)
